Session Title: The Necessity of a Continuous Learning Environment: A Model That Incorporates the Before, During & After
Room Location: Coronado M
Day and Time: Monday, 2:45pm - 3:45pm
Session Format: Sponsor Showcase
Led By: Patrick Devlin - Blackboard
Session Description: As the corporate training environment evolves, it is becoming increasingly clear that the old ways of one-off training classes are no longer fitting the bill. With the growing popularity of social and informal learning, and the realization that learning programs need to be integrated into the work context, learning has become much more dynamic and collaborative for employees. This isn't to say that traditional formal learning events are no longer useful. Classroom training definitely has a place in corporate learning strategy, but what happens before and after the formal learning event needs to be considered as well. In this session, we'll discuss how a continuous learning environment is critical in today's business world, and look at examples of successful implementations of such a model.
